Propio is rapidly growing and becoming a nationwide force, and we are looking to hire a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing Financial Planning & Analytics team. The person in this role will need to be comfortable explaining fluctuations, variances, and anomalies to the company’s executive team. The Senior Accountant will also serve as the primary point of contact during the company’s annual audit. Additional responsibilities include ad-hoc financial reporting, financial planning and analysis related duties, and lender covenant reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of day-to-day and month end general journal entries, including complex payroll, cost of sales, and intra-entity entries
  • Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts for multiple legal and operational entities
  • Review and approval of journal entries prepared by finance operations staff
  • Preparation of full set of financial statements and supporting schedules within monthly close deadline
  • Analysis of financial variances to budgets, prior periods, and expected amount
  • Preparation of lender covenant required financial reports
  • Serving as primary point of contact for company’s financial auditors for interim and year-end testing
  • Support for treasury and banking functions as needed
  • Ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis
  • Other duties assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA preferred
  • 3+ years of experience working at the staff or senior level in public accounting or corporate accounting
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with proper care
  • Comfort working in a deadline driven environment
  • Comfort handling changing priorities and unexpected circumstances
  • Ability to present financial numbers and concepts in a clear understandable way to internal and external users; comfortable speaking to and working directly with executive management
